All parents intending on driving student-athletes other than your son(s)/daughter(s) will need to complete the following forms and follow the process below BEFORE YOU ARE CLEARED TO BE TEAM DRIVERS

  1. Request for Livescan
  2. Transportation of Students in Privately Owned Vehicles
  3. Volunteer Agreement Form


  1. You must go to a fingerprinting business and pay for your fingerprints to be checked & cleared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) & Department of Justice (DOJ).  Contact the Office Manager if you have been fingerprinted with AUSD in the past.

  2. Submit the Live Scan Service (or proof of scan), E5-A with a copy of your automobile insurance declaration detailing policy coverage and expiration date, and Volunteer Agreement Form with a copy of your valid driver’s license to the Office Manager.

  3. The Office Manager will wait for the AUSD Human Resources Department to notify her of fingerprint clearance (this can take anywhere from 3-4 days to 2 weeks to 2 months). When the Office Manager receives the clearance, they will then notify the Athletic Department that you are cleared to drive for our away contests, as well as field trips.

  4. Upon receiving clearance, the Office Manager will notify you that you are cleared to drive. 

student insurance coverage

All athletes must be insured.  If your student does not have medical insurance sign-up for Student Insurance through the district.  You student's insurance plan must cover interscholastic sports.

Families can either print or complete the enrollment application to mail with check or money order or,

You can enroll online:

  1. Enroll online by clicking "Enroll Now"
  2. Select State and click "Look Up"
  3. Click on School or District
  4. Select school location name
  5. Check the plan options
  6. Complete the online application (more than one child can be enrolled on the same application)
  7. Pay by Credit or Debit
  8. Print ID card

multi-school agreements

Encinal maintains a Multi-School Agreement with the following schools: Alameda Science and Technology Institute (ASTI), NEA Community Learning Center, and Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC).  Students enrolled at one of these schools may participate and compete in athletics at Encinal as long as they reside in Encinal High School's attendance zone.
